The week-long Anambra Solution Innovation Week has ended in Awka, with advice to participants to utilize what they learnt for technological advancement.
Speaking at the event which took place at the International Convention Centre, Awka, Governor Chukwuma Soludo posited that the event signposts the importance his administration attach to the technological development of the State.
The governor asserted that Anambra is on a long journey with his vision of transforming the state from a departure lounge to a destination point.
He further restated that his administration is intentional about positioning technology and innovation as definers of Anambra’s future, and appreciated all who came from the twenty-four states of Nigeria to participate in the program.
In a Keynote Speech, the Co-founder of AI in Nigeria, Ehia Ehabo explained that for every challenge, there are multiple opportunities in Africa, with its vibrant youth population.
Earlier, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Miss Chinwe Okoli, thanked the Governor for believing in the project of raising the Anambra digital tribe.
The event was attended by numerous technology’s giants from within and outside the Country.

Anambra State Police Command says its Operatives attached to a VIP, has demobilized one of the criminal elements in the State.
The State Police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who disclosed this, said the incident happened on Friday, by 8:30 pm, along Agulu/Nnobi road.
According to Ikenga, items recovered from the hoodlums include one pump action gun, five live cartridges, five machetes, two SUV jeeps and two pairs of desert shoe.
He said that the Operatives resisted the armed men operating in a grey-coloured Lexus and an ash-coloured Toyota Highlander, attacked their convoy unprovoked.
The states Police spokesperson intimated that during the gun duel, the swift response by the Joint Security Team comprising the Police and AVG Operatives led by the Divisional Police Officer Neni, Anaocha LGA, made the armed men abandon their vehicle and fled the scene with bullet wounds, through a nearby bush.
The police spokesperson further disclosed that their Operatives have sustained operations in the area aimed at arresting the fleeing members.
He urged Members of the public and residents of the area to assist the Command with information in that regard.
In another development, the Joint Security Team comprising Police operatives attached to the Dunukofia Division and AVG members responded to a distress call along Ukwulu Road, rescued the abducted victims and recovered their vehicle.
According to the PPRO, preliminary information showed that the armed men abducted the victims last Wednesday, by 7 am, along Ugwunwasike in Ogidi.
He said the culprits shot the abductees when they observed that they were being trailed by the security operatives, abandoned them in the vehicle and fled the scene.
SP Ikenga disclosed that the Joint Security Team secured the victims and rushed them to the hospital for medical attention, though one of them was confirmed dead.
To this end, he assured that the Operatives have intensified Operations in the area, and further development would be communicated
