
Anambra State Executive Council approves more contracts to enhance security and development
Anambra State Executive Council ANSEC, has adopted a series of measures to enhance security and development across the State.
The Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, who made this known, informed that for Enhanced Security Measures, ANSEC approved both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies to tackle insecurity, and ensure safer environment for all residents.
He disclosed that for Master Plan for Heritage Sites, contract worth over one hundred and twenty five million Naira has been awarded to develop a responsive and commercially viable master plan for Anambra’s heritage sites and tourist attractions.
Commissioner Mefor further revealed that on Infrastructure Upgrades, The entrance gate of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, will be reconstructed, while that for College of Nursing Sciences, Isuofia: additional property clearing and fencing extension will be carried out.
He announced the Airfield Lighting at Chinua Achebe International Airport To facilitate night landings.
The Information Commissioner further hinted that a company will supply and install a 200 KVA/11KV transformer for Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University College of Medicine,
On Naval Base Renovation, he said that the Naval Base Complex at Iyiowa Odekpe, Ogbaru, will be renovated.
According to the Commissioner, For Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, contract to supply and install UV-resistant chairs has been awarded
