
Governor Soludo unfolds blueprint to make Anambra State choice destination for investors
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has unleashed policies aimed at making Anambra the epicenter of industrial activities for investors.
To actualize the vision, the governor announced plans to rejig the security apparati of the state to make it conducive for investment purposes.
He gave the indication at the Second Edition of the Anambra Summit 2024, at the International Convention Centre, Awka.
Speaking on the theme of the summit, “Changing Gears: Accelerating Anambra’s Economic Transformation’, Governor Soludo intimated that his cardinal policy thrust is to build a state he will be proud to live in and invest in, after serving out his term as Governor.
Given the endowment of human and material resources in Anambra state, he urged investors to make haste to invest in the state which has attractive prospects for growth and rapid industrialization.
He listed some vital projects such as the ongoing ten-storey five star hotel located beside the International Convention Centre which is being piled, the Awka Shopping Mall Complex in Awka, the new Government House, nearing completion, and the Governor’s Lodge Complex, as well as the up grading of the Chinua Achebe International Airport with night landing light facilities to be installed, among other projects scattered in all the 3 Senatorial Zones of the state in their various levels of completion.
Governor Soludo solicited the support of the citizenry to actualize his vision for the state.
In a speech, the state Chairman of the Anambra State Investment, Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) Mr.Mark Okoye Junior, expressed delight in the policy thrust of the Governor which occasioned the signings of some Memorandum of Understanding between the state and its foreign and local partners.
In an interview, a community leader in Umuawulu, Chike Oranye and Johnson Ezedinachi of ukpo commended the Governor for his good policy thrust and urged him to utilize the available lands in the state for Agriculture and industries
