Gunmen Attack Patrol Team kill One Officer Injure Two In Abia

A police officer was reportedly killed on Wednesday when gunmen attacked a patrol team along Asaga road in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.

The ugly incident, which left two others injured, was said to have occurred around 7.30 am.

According to eyewitnesses, the police officers were on patrol when a group of Young men numbering about six double-crossed them, killing one, while two injured ones managed to escape to the bush.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, Maureen Chinaka, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said that the picture is not very clear at the moment, but will give feedback as event unfolds
