
Man commits suicide after quarrel with brother in Ogun State
A 58-year-old man identified as Bamidele Omolayo has committed suicide Odigbo Local Council Area of Ondo State, after a quarrel with a family member.
It was gathered that the deceased ingested a toxic chemical and a pesticide commonly known as Snipper.
The lifeless body of the father of four was discovered by an octogenarian resident who raised the alarm.
Sources said that before his death, the deceased had a brief argument with a family member during which he threatened to take his own life.
His body was later found lying in the road that connects the community to a nearby farming settlement.
A local resident speculated that he may have left his home early in the morning and walked several kilometers to the outskirts before ending his life.
The Police spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, in a statement, confirmed the incident and hinted that an investigation has commenced
