Nigerian Senator Raises Alarm That Terrorists Hinder Electricity Restoration in Northern Nigeria
Senator Barau Jibrin has revealed that well-armed terrorists are obstructing efforts to repair power transmission lines in Northern Nigeria, leading to widespread blackouts for over a week.
During a Senate briefing on Monday, Jibrin stated that the presence of these terrorists around key infrastructure has delayed urgently needed repairs. He confirmed ongoing discussions with the National Security Adviser and the Transmission Company of Nigeria to address the situation.
The senator emphasized that security agencies are preparing to take action against the insurgents to restore electricity and ensure safety for repair crews.
