Police Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugu-Ukwu, swiftly acted on information provided by a suspect (Miracle) in Police custody over the case of armed robbery and kidnapping where a ransom of fifteen million Naira was paid.

Information revealed that the kidnap victim was abducted in a neighbouring State and was later released after the Ransom was collected

According to report, the Police Command first arrested, one Nwokpoku Emmanuel aged 34, who hails from Ebonyi State, but living in Oduke-Obosi, over the case.

Emmanuel then, mentioned Ebuka as the leader of the gang.

The operatives recovered the victim’s Mercedes Benz and activated plan to arrest other gang members, especially their leader Ebuka.

The report said that Ebuka Ndubusi aged 29, was arrested yesterday, by 8:03 pm at Obosi, Idemili North.

However, Investigation is still ongoing about the matter.

In related development, Anambra State Police Command has informed the general public that within two weeks in a separate onslaught operations against criminal elements in the State, some stolen vehicles where recovered by the Command.

According to Police report, the vehicles include

1. TOYOTA COROLLA CAR (RED COLOUR) WITH REG. NO. ENUGU – AGN 409 AA

2. UNREGISTERED LEXUS ES 350 (ASH COLOUR)

3. MITSUBISHI HILUX (BLUE COLOUR) WITH REG NO: GDD 440 TJ

4. LEXUS ES 330 CAR (ASH COLOUR) WITH REG NO: ACA 551 MA

5. TOYOTA HIGHLANDER JEEP (GREY COLOUR) WITH REG NO: SMK 544 GP

The Command, therefore, invites anyone or group looking for any of the vehicles as highlighted, to come to the Police Public Relations Office Awka with valid Proof/Evidence of Ownership of such vehicles for verification and possible collection.
